Toppled Tree Temporarily Ties Up Traffic On I-495 In Virginia

Several lanes were closed on I-495 in Fairfax County on Thursday afternoon when a tree went down and blocked the roadway.

The right two southbound lanes and shoulder of the interstate were blocked by crews at around 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 15 as first responders worked to clear the scene in Annandale.

Officials say it was reported near mile marker 52.

It is unclear if any vehicles were struck. No injuries were initially reported.
